Welcome to the S&CR
The S&CR is entirely built, run and managed by volunteers. It was one of the first heritage railways to undertake the complete reconstruction of a standard-gauge railway with no legacy of track or buildings.
Blunsdon is the main 'visitor centre', with car parking, Whistle Stop Cafe, picnic area, shop etc., while Hayes Knoll gives visitors the opportunity to see various restoration projects progressing in the engine shed.
Wagon Appeal Fund
The p-way dept is trying to raise £1500 to improve more of our wagon fleet on the railway.

Motive Power
Motive power is provided by Steam or Diesel locomotives as available.
Diesels in our home fleet include examples of ex-BR Classes 03, Class 08 and a Class 119 DMU, plus industrials.
Our latest visiting Steam Locomotive was Hunslet 0-6-0ST 'Newstead'
