Train services on the Swindon & Cricklade Railway allow visitors to enjoy train rides on most weekend days, Public Holidays and School Holiday Wednesdays. The facility to arrange private events also means that parties and groups can visit the Railway at other mutually agreed times.

Standard Timetable for 2009
This timetable will be operated by Steam or Diesel services for Saturdays, Sundays, Bank Holiday Mondays and School Holiday Wednesdays (unless otherwise stated for certain Special Event days).

Note - there are no facilities to take up or set down passengers at South Meadow Lane. Trains travel north from Hayes Knoll and reverse. *12.30 and 15.00 departures from Blunsdon Diesel hauled trains make the full journey. Steam hauled trains return to Blunsdon after spending the time necessary to take water at Hayes Knoll.

Sunday Steam Service
From 19th April to 25th October.

Saturday Diesel Service
From 10th January throughout the year.

Sunday Diesel Service
from 11th January to 5th April and from 1st November to 22nd November.

Visitors are reminded that Saturday & Sunday services may be unavoidably affected by engineering works, and that the availability of steam locomotives may be affected by maintenance requirements.

If you have any questions regarding our events, or wish to confirm any arrangement, please e-mail as soon as possible in advance.
While every effort will be made to provide events and services as advertised, alterations or cancellations may be necessary at short notice, and the Swindon & Cricklade Railway will not be responsible for any losses so caused.
Train Fares
Saturdays and Sundays not included in Special Events programme : Adult, £5, child/seniors, £3:50, family of two adults + two children, £15.
School Holiday Specials (Wednesdays - see dates below left) : Adult, £3:50, children/seniors £2:50
Special Events : fares are increased for certain special events to cover additional costs. Details of fares will be published on the News Page as soon as they are known.
All tickets entitle the holder to ride on available trains as many times as desired on the day of purchase.

Private Events
Moonraker set
The Railway is always prepared to discuss private events with individuals, groups and organisations. These include visits by groups, clubs and parties, with special trains being run as agreed.
