The Swindon & Cricklade Railway is working on an extension of its line southwards towards the future Mouldon Hill Country Park, where there will be a new station. Early this year, the track was extended again and, in May, about a mile was bought up to passenger carrying standards.

The full route of the planned Southern Exension of the Railway and the approximate position of the new station at Mouldon Hill Country Park have been added to the map in red. This is in addion to the completed section south of the River Ray.
