The railway The railway's passenger line offers a round trip of approx four miles. There are stations at Blunsdon and Hayes Knoll, and extensions towards Cricklade in the north and Swindon in the south. We are working to extend the line to a new station in Mouldon Hill Country Park in Swindon.

Opening times Our basic services operate between 11am and 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The normal timetable may be replaced or extended during special events on some weekends and Bank Holidays. There are additional services on some Wednesdays during the school holidays. It is normal to suspend or reduce services early in the year to allow maintenance.

Pre-booking Pre-booking is only necessary for Dining Trains and some evening events. Pre- and Advance Booking is covered by notes on the Events page.
Pay-on-arrival is normal for daytime trains, with tickets allowing as many rides as desired on the day of purchase on available scheduled trains.

Private Events The Railway also offer facilities for private parties and dining, Schools Group Visits and Weddings.

How to find us The nearest main road is the A419, which leaves the M4 Motorway at Junction 15, signposted for Cirencester.
Leave the A419 near the top of Blunsdon Hill, just north of Swindon. A major new road layout has recently been completed and, until all the signs are in place, the best approach is to follow the signs for "SPEEDWAY". The Railway is about two miles on. Our car park and Blunsdon Station entrance is immediately after a small river bridge. Click for local map etc
Please note that from Monday 14th May onwards, roadworks will affect access to the railway. Please follow signposted diversions

By public transport Bus services operate from Swindon bus station to a stop approx one mile from the railway. The bus station is a few minutes walk from Swindon railway station.

Car Parking Car parking is free for visitors at Blunsdon Station. Cars are parked at owner's risk.

Wheelchair Access The car park and main circulating areas are all flat ground. There are ramps to station platforms, cafe, shop etc. Trains accessable by ramps to guard's area. Mobility scooters because of the many styles, weights and sizes coming into use, we are unable to guarantee access for all models.

Dogs Well-behaved dogs, under owner's control, are welcome.

Food & Drink Catering is based on the Whistlestop Cafe at Blunsdon Station, offering hot and cold food and beverages. The Whistlestop is licensed, and beers are usually available. Outdoor sitting areas are available. On some special event days, basic refreshments are also available at Hayes Knoll station.

Toilets There are toilets at Blunsdon station and in the engine shed at Hayes Knoll, with disabled facilities in both locations.
